Last Thing Game
I was tagged in this question game by Tumblr user pinehutch, but I thought it would be nice to share on here. There's no real tagging function on here, but if you end up answering these in your own blog, let me know! I would love to read what you're up to.
Last Song - Dan Mangan's Race to the Bottom. I've been trying to dig into his discography little by little because I'm not terribly good at listening to new music (I like to sing along, new lyrics to memorize on accident are daunting), but I've been liking his energy for when I putter around the house, and he has lovely lyrics.
Last Movie - I'm not going to count musical pro shots, of which I've been watching a lot of in a quest to broaden my horizons through my bird's taste, so the answer to this would be You've got mail (1998), which we watched as a bit of seasonal fluff to soothe the agonies on a bad day. I'll admit it got a few cackles out of me.
Last TV Show - I've been watching so many movies that I forget to make room for shorter formats... I started a re-watch of Black Sails but I only got two episodes in before getting distracted. And I have the seasonal OTGW watch scheduled for when temperatures go down.
Last Book - I've been reading a compilation of John Lee Clark's essays, Touch the Future. Slow progress because short-form articles are what's working for me right now, but getting there.
Favorite Color - I'm very partial to yellows on the orange-er side of the color spectrum, but magentas and salmons have been on my mind lately, I find them very striking.
Spicy, sweet, or savory - Savory is the most versatile, but spicy has its merits.
Current obsession - I've been going down a rabbit hole of looking for small web sites that are active in their curation of links (to other sites, to articles and thinkpieces, to art...) because I'm not particularly happy with Tumblr's state at the moment and it's my main source of New to Me stuff so I'm trying to build robust alternatives.
Last search - WebSafe color codes, to observe my reaction to different shades and answer the color question.
Looking forward to - Looking for an answer to this, I've realized I'm not excited for anything in my future at the moment, all the things in the next few months are sources of dread. I guess I'm looking forward to the dreaded situations passing so I can have downtime to find things to look forward to without doom looming on the horizon.
